Garage Cleaning
On a gorgeous pre-spring afternoon I spent some time cleaning in the garage!
This box sits next to the door near my office. I think you can project your feelings from this box. I thought for awhile that it was a smiling box, but really it's a slanted down face which oft means confused or upset.
This is me icing my knee. I've been trying to ice a few times a day to help the swelling go down. It is slowly getting better!
These have slowly been popping up at work, even with snow on the ground. A few sunny days helped them bloom. Hopefully they'll survive!
The temps got up into the 60's today so we went out for ice cream. Sebastian Joes is a great homemade ice cream cafe in Uptown!
It was a pretty long day. I'm still exhausted from the trip to Wolf Ridge, it was pretty gloomy outside, and we had a fairly stressful morning at work. So this is what you get!
The final "class" for my group's experience at Wolf Ridge was a Basic Winter Survival. After giving the kids basic instructions about starting a fire, they were given the necessary tools and hot chocolate mix. Their goal was to have a some hot chocolate before we needed to leave. I think all 4 groups had at least warm water! IT was interesting to see how each group setup their shelter and went about fire-making. Some groups demonstrated better team work than others.
